The Grand Timeline

Hi, amazing Avalanche community!

I’m Igor, a product designer. I’m working on my own project — a historical research and data visualization of the entire history of Web3 and how we got to where we are today. It seems like no one has done something like this before.I’ve been working on this as a side project for 3 years, off and on. This is a public good, and I’m doing it because it fascinates me, because I can, and because I’m inspired by the Web3 community and the amazing stories within it. Most importantly, I believe this format of visual storytelling captures and holds attention, and can bring new amazing people into Web3.

The project lives in Figma, where I’m working on it openly: :mag: Zoom in Figma

This wide-ranging project, but let me explain why I’m reaching out here…

I’ve already included Emin Gün Sirer in my timeline, and now I’m working on the Events section (this layer is the emptiest and least developed). I want to tell Avalanche’s story accurately. I have a rough idea of what to include, but I’d like to verify all the information. It would be great if you could help by answering a few easy questions about Avax:

  1. What is Avalanche’s most significant contribution to Web3? What makes it unique, and why is it important to include it in the history?

  2. What are the key events in Avalanche’s history that have had a major impact on the market, besides the launch itself?

  3. Can you share any particularly interesting or surprising stories around Avalanche? It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking, just something really fascinating. Something like wow, crazy stuff that people write threads about or joke that it’s Netflix-worthy.

I don’t expect to be noticed here, but thank you very much in advance! :ghost:

I’ll be honest, I’m also seeking financial support for this project. While your grant program is closed (there’s no rounds right now, right?), I’d appreciate any advice or connections to potential supporters. The project demands almost all of my time.
