Mistake cross chain transfer - am i screwed?

Hi!

I hope somebody can help:
I wanted to send some avax from my ledger to my binance wallet.
I made a mistake copying my deposit adress in binance properly: i missed to copy the first 2 letters: “x-” of the adress.
e.g.:
instead of “x-avax…” i copied “avax…”

As the Avax-P-Chain starts with “avax…” my copied adress fitted the pattern in avax core ui and i was able to Submit the transaction…

My only hope is that binance owns the corresponding adress and can restore my assets…

Does anybody experieenced a similar Problem?

B

Hi there, if the funds were on the P-Chain, they have sent to the P-Chain address provided, and Binance does not support P-Chain deposits nor do they necessarily have control of the address that you sent the funds to. Unfortunately, there is nothing we are able to do to assist here, and asking Binance is the best option.

For future note - you would have needed to cross-chain transfer the AVAX from the P-Chain to the X-Chain to send to Binance, as you cannot send across chains with the send function directly.
