Dear,

I saw my staking for 31.9 AVAX was done on 12/04/2025 en pressed claim in my core-wallet. Now I do not see any avax available, it’s on a different adress???
My adress is 0xc5aca477fe689aE3D8991087Fa53583752CAA75a

I found this transaction on ava scan. 9FqmNUrjYoS1w1hHZF6DuyMz35EWUbgRwp37paX1CcLN5MPQ7

Why did i not receive the avax, what happend?

hi there, do you still have an issue with this?

Just had the EXACT same thing happen to me. Been over a year, came back to claim my AVAX on P-chain and boom its sent to another wallet address.. what is going on AVAX? Are we getting scammed here by core?

hi there -

claiming the staked AVAX in the Core mobile wallet cross-chains them back to the Avalanche C-Chain. Core mobile does not have the full cross-chain transfer module in it, whereas those who stake from Core web have to cross-chain the AVAX between the X, P, and C-Chains manually.

Cross-chaining is a two step process - exporting from the P-Chain, and importing onto the C-Chain, in this case. It is two transactions as it is two different blockchains. From the transaction linked above, you shared the export transaction (which sent to a similarly formatted C-Chain address), and then the funds were imported onto the C-Chain. This address is still your wallet address, but as it is a two step process, it is more or less an intermediary step since the Avalache C-Chain is an EVM blockchain, and the X and P-Chains are not.

@Johnny123 - Core is not scamming you. This is simply how the cross-chain transfer process works.

Hi @Amanda,

The exact same thing happened to me: I clicked ‘Claim’ from the CORE app (iOS), then saw a loading window, followed by a timeout window. After restarting the app, my balance shows $0. I’m looking at the transaction details now—I don’t recognise the address. Please advise.

the cross-chain transfer may not have completed if you don’t see the funds in the wallet. Please follow the instructions on this article to connect to Core web and import any incomplete cross-chain transfers: Core web: What if my cross-chain transaction didn't work? | Core Support

All fixed for me. If you have the same issue, check this instruction out -Core web: What if my cross-chain transaction didn't work? | Avalanche Support
