I would advise that the avax team completely removes the requirement of either providing coupon code or holding AVAX balance when requesting testing coins. Honestly, AVAX is the only chain that imposes this unreasonable constraints on developers and this ultimately increases the friction when a developer tries to build something to enrich the avax ecosystem.

If I don’t have a discord account, I can’t develop smart contracts on Avalanche.

If you have a non-zero amount of avax on mainnet the faucet also works without the coupon.

If you drop an address I can send you some testnet AVAX to get you started however.
