Address Book in Wallet

It would be really useful to be able to save addresses you you use in an address book on the wallet so one can be selected when needed.

You mean addresses to which you send transactions?

Yes that’s right. ,:+1:

The issue here is that for security reasons wallet doesn’t actually store anything locally, so as soon as you log out or close the tab, everything is deleted.

But, I can see how that would be useful.

Interesting. Could the addresses some how be hold on the blockchain and the wallet pull them back somehow? Brainstorming.

I think the idea is to not reuse addresses, for security reasons.

What’s the security issue? Surely just like a bank account the address can only be used to send token to, not withdraw? Actually more secure as cannot do impersonations fraud.

Not security reasons, but privacy. If you always use the same address, anyone can reconstruct the complete history of all your transactions, how many coins you have, how do you spend them, with whom do you trade and such. Many people are not comfortable the equivalent of their full bank statements being out in the open for the whole world to see.
